Robots and US Military
One cannot help but to respect the men and women who fight in the United States military in order to provide us with freedoms and lives that we enjoy living. We are very fortunate people to not have to be forced into the military because of those who are incredibly brave enough to sacrifice their lives for this country and the people living in it. While technology has made a huge difference in how battles are fought in the military, it certainly does not mean that the soldiers are completely safe and sound at all times. Courageous people from California to Maine enlist to help the country each year. There are new ideas though that might help to change the need for so many men and women.
These ideas and tests are being done with robots. The United States military is putting in the funds and the energy to test out how robots could potentially be called to the front lines eliminating the need for human beings to do it. Of course it is still in testing stages, but there are other robotics being employed currently. Check out the video of Fault Lines: Robot Wars from the Al Jazeera English channel.
